KN95 Diposable Respirator Mask - Foldable, 10/Pack

KN95 and N95 are both certifications for disposable respirators. Respirators undergo extensive testing and must meet required physical properties and performance characteristics before respirators can be certified as KN95 or N95. The main difference between these two respirators is that they are tested by different nations.

Certification Regulating Country Filtration Efficiency
(particles 0.3 microns or larger)
N95 USA ≥ 95%
KN95 China ≥ 95%

N95 is USA's regulatory standard while KN95 is China's standard.

As far as performance is concerned, both the N95 and KN95 respirators have almost the same filtration efficiency of stopping at least 95% of particles that are 0.3 microns or larger, including the new coronavirus. There are slight differences in their specifications, like a variation in the maximum pressure the masks must be able to withstand as a person inhales and exhales. The C.D.C. lists KN95 as a suitable alternative when N95s are not available.
